WIRRAL 100 @ Oulton Park. 10th April 2010
An all too disappointing day on the whole. In glorious sunshine, and no weather related distractions, the day looked promising, but it quickly became apparent that the bike is now struggling in it's class. Starting three rows from the back, Liam quickly lost a coulpe of places due to a poor start, and never really regained the impetus, finishing low down the order.
Failing to qualify for the championship race, Liam again started the consolidation heat lower down the grid, and despite brave attempts to push on, just could'nt get any more out of the bike. Liam made a late pass towards the end of the race, but this really did'nt make up for the obvious difference in power between himself and the leading bunch.
The tougher challenges of Oulton Park as opposed to the less tasking one offered at Ty Croes also proved a relevance, but the experience is obviously crucial. Laps are the key here, and desite race position, the time on track was most beneficial.
It is becoming ever apparent that Sponsorship is going play a vital part in moving forwards, and a review of sponsorship was under way even before we had left Oulton Park. Key sponsors are required if we are to improve on todays performances.
Kelly Robertson has been appointed 'Team Secretary & Public Relations Offcer' to oversee the acquisition of new sponsorship.
WELL DONE LIAM !
